Next up - Camping! (Loads of Pictures!)

So we went camping at Wyld Cat a couple weeks ago. I had a freaking blast. it was the week before i went back to work. my last hur-ah if you will. I had so much fun. I went with the Hus-beast, his dad (FIL), His Friend S, and her boyfriend R.

We had so much fun.
we went Monday thru Thursday.
Monday we got there and set up camp. S & R brought a friggin keg. so we were set. hahaha.

Tuesday we went on an 8 mile hike back through the amazing back country. So so fun.

Wednesday we all sort of did our own thing. S & R wen't to a local lake to fish. FIL went and hung out with another camper. We went and did some 4x4ing. it was a blast. we just went up some old foresting roads and had fun. although part of it was kinda scrarey.

Thursday it started raining HARD. So i'm glad thats the day we left. So awesome. I had so much fun i am so glad we got to do that before i went back to work!!

5 Question Fun!

So my bloggy friend over at the (mis) adventures of VEG played a little game called 5 questions. She got her's from B @ cuttings of a blog.

1. Why did you choose an alternative path and join the military?
I always knew i was going to join the military. The only question was, which branch. I knew from the moment i put on my dad's combat boots at 5 years old that i was destined to be in the military. as i grew older i weighed the pros and cons. I really did my research. i looked into all the branches and talked to a lot of people before i decided. I feel that anyone who's physically and mentally able should serve their country in some way shape or form. I chose the military. I love it. i'm 3rd generation and i can't get enough of it. for me the military just makes more sense.

2. Do you consider yourself a girly girl?
Not really. I mean i love to get my hair done and get mani/pedi's but I also LOVE camping, shooting guns, going 4x4ing, going hiking, working out, getting sweaty. So i guess not. its about 70/30.

3. What would be your least favourite chore that you have to do?
Dishes!!!!! i despise dishes. i hate hate hate doing them.

4. What is your favourite item of clothing?
1 item? no not really
items? yes. i live in tank-tops. i almost always have some form of tank top on. i live in them all year round. i have to have close to 30 tank tops.

5. What is the last thing you do at night before you go to sleep?
the very last thing? kiss my husband good night.

Suprise to me!

So i was compltey convinced that there was something going on sunday that i wasn't paying attention to saturday. lol.
I had known we were going to my father in law's house but i wasn't ready for what happend when we got there.
My family and friends threw me a Suprise Welcome Home Party! i was so shocked when i walked in the door and saw everyone. I was floored!!

It was so much fun.
my parents and brother were there. all of B's siblings were there (he has 2 sisters and 1 brother) 2 of the 3 brought their significant others. B's mom and step dad were there. then my BFF showed up with my godson. who by the way i was texting the whole time we were driving up to his house. and she pretended to be not going anywhere that night. sneaky devil. i had so much fun!!

B's dad gave me his old one. Al likes to buy new electronic things and give us his old ones. lol. so now i'm rocking with the Samsung Digimax L60. I can't wait to take more pictures and see what this baby can do. i'm so excited. after months in the heat mine's not doing so hot. lol. but i'm still freaking geeked about this camera.

Confession Friday.

so today's friday confession will be a little scatterbrained. Due to the fact that i've been every where and done lots of things this week, its been a little crazy. I'm going to be a bit all over the place. but i'm including pictures. so why the heck not. haha.

~ I missed this dude more than i care to admit. and i'm so glad that he didn't turn in to daddy's boy and is still my little man. of course i'm talking about my puppy sammy

~ I'm also really glad my husband didn't changed to much while i was gone. Everyone grows and changes. but i was TERRIFIED he'd be someone i didn't know when i came home but he's not. He's still the man i fell in love with

~ Because i've been in 2 sets of uniforms for the past 150 or so days i've become obsessed with clothes and shoes and accessories. I like bags. but i normally keep 1 main purse that's plain and black. that way i don't have to change it when i go on base and back in uniform.

~ I've thrown away at least 5 garbage bags FULL of clutter from around the apartment since i've been home. between tattered clothes, old socks, stuff i've kept cause i "though i would need it", etc.

~ I plan on cleaning a lot more

~ Driving here now makes my anxiety shoot through the roof.

~ I can't wait to get into an art class again. I really enjoyed it and learning how to improve in places and how to do new things.

~ I'm seriously so OCD, i'm already starting to rework my planner. I went out and bought new inserts and new calender and i'm now updating it though... oh December. lol.

~ I find doing my planner, and color coding it and blocking out times oddly soothing.

~ I still can't poop regularly here.

~ I've been home 7 days exactly now. and I've missed 2 days of going to the gym. today is one of them because we slept in till 11. oops.

~ i have to go to my civilian job and talk to them. but I'm really not looking forward to it.

~ I wish B would find a job... NOW. so i wouldn't have to go back to work.

~ Finding things i "put away" before i left is proving increasingly difficult.

~ I'm so happy to be home! so so happy!

Baking Edition.

I have a secret Dream that i can be a professional baker and own a little shop down town somewhere. just a quaint little shop.

So yes, i know I'm freaking weird. but i LOVE LOVE LOVE to bake. I have a wish list on amazon dedicated to my baking fetish.

Mini cheesecakes? are you kidding me? how bad ass would i be if i could master the art of the mini cheesecake?! That would be awesome!

There is 5 pages worth of my baking obsession on amazon. yep, 5 pages. i know. i told you it was a fetish. I'm well aware of my sickness. there might be a 12 step program for it, but I'm pretty sure I'd want to bring a bake good basket to each meeting which would be totally counter productive. so I'll just deal with it.

Maybe later we can get a husband confession of the cabinet I've taken over in our tiny ass kitchen completely dedicated (or close to) to my baking addiction. lol. its a bad sickness. but at least mine winds up in tasty pastries and not scummy hotel rooms and such.

okay, enough drunken ramblings for one night.

i promise I'll be back around for confession Friday. and i promise I'll get back around to my normal blog stalking, but for now I'm finding my husband FAR to entertaining. lol. be well my loves.

I'm alive I promise

Hey guys. i'm alive and well.
I'm at stop #1 of 3 i think. possibly 4.
I'm sweating my nonexistant balls off at the moment. its got to something near 120 degrees here today. no, for once i'm not exaturating. it really is that hot here.
the suns going down now and the wind's picking up so its getting better here. i'm very happy about that.

I was sitting very comfortably in a chair in an air conditioned building. but apparently they're closing for a couple hours. so now i'm sitting out side. I need to find my camera in my back pack and take a bunch of pictures of this place. I thought where i was was bad with lack of color... holy crap. this place is insane. everything is beige. the rocks are beige. the buildings are beige, the windows are beige, even the side walks are beige. Its a little intense.

Right now i'm sitting under neath what the locals call "the bra" hahaha. but its technically "coailation plaza" or something of that nature. its a big bad under a big tits looking tent. its quite awesome.

ahhhh the breeze. this is what it must feel like to be in a big gigantic convection oven. lol. not even the breeze brings a break from the heat unless you count the chill it sets off in my spine from the sweat streak i'm rocking right now. lol.

I'll post pics and such as soon as i can. hopefully tomorrow.

200th post & Hermit Book Club

So I've been trying to think about what awesome post i should make my 200th post. I'm kind of (read: extremely) sentimental. So i like to celebrate these little things.

So I think that i should celebrate my 200th post by sharing the gift that keeps on giving...

I found this blog through a blog-friend's blog. and instantaneously fell in love with the idea, concept, and blog.
