I need one sooooooooooo bad.

Dear Blogger,
I would like a way to organize my follow list. I am currently actively following 218 blogs. and because i never throw anything away, i refuse to 'unfollow' any. if there was a way to organize my follow list I'd greatly appreciate it.

My work is a Soap Opera (part I)

Have no fear if your favorite soap is being canceled. you can just come to work with me and you'll be set

So lets introduce the characters

SH - Manager of department L
TR - 2ND in command of department L
TR's Minions - her followers
SH-B - SH's Beau

So SH's Beau is kind of a 'bad boy' he had been avoiding the law and his punishment before i left for Iraq. When I came home i found out he was in jail. He kept getting in trouble so he kept getting his sentence lengthened (or whatever you call it)

well when he finally got released SH decided to take 2 days off to go pick him up, and run around town doing what ever it was that he needs to do after being released. SH has worked here since she was 17 and this is her first and only job she's ever had. She gives her heart and soul to her job. This is the first time she's asked for days off in 5 years. She normally cashes in her vacation. and works year round. Often coming in on holidays to solve this problem or that.

Well, TR & her minions didn't like the fact that SH was getting time off. They don't like her because SH's salary screws up their budget profit. Ever since TR has been invited to the budget meetings and other meetings she's become increasingly hostile to SH because of how much she makes. TR even made a scene screaming at SH saying "if i made what you made I'd be here all the time." and "you make XYZ, you should be here early and stay late" that's right ladies, she announced to everyone with in ear shot what SH makes. It was wildly inaccurate amount, but still.

So TR & her minions decided its time to screw SH out of her 2 days off. So you what do you think they did?

They pretended that minion numero uno had SWINE FLU! so that SH would have to cover numero uno's shifts.

WHO DOES THAT?

well. Big Daddy Boss Man (or Big daddy for short) asked for documentation, and POOF numero uno was all of a sudden fine and dandy.

I work in the front office, but i work for a different section of the parent company. My boss and i have NOTHING to do with department L, other than having their filing in our office.

While SH was on her 2 day vacation numero uno decides to demand to know where her paperwork is from my boss. um... what?

So my boss just looks her square in the eye, and tells her she's not talking to a minion and that she has nothing to do with their paperwork, and walks away.

I tell SH i do not envy her and I'm not sure how she even works with those people.

the only problem is Big daddy thinks the sun shines and sets out of TR's ass, and she's just the cutest thing since baby kittens. ::gags::

Like sands through the hour glass.
These are the days of our lives.

Long Time No Chat

I've been going through a lot of stuff.

I completely hate my job 80% of the time. its no secret.

We're trapped in this 8 x 10 box
We're broke... really broke
I'm frustrated
He's frustrated
my bff and godson are going through a lot which i feel required to help her with.
I'm working out more, but that means less time for blogging or being on the boards chatting with friends
I'm frustrated

if we can get through this, we can get through anything.

::sigh::
i miss you all
i miss my blog roll
i miss my followers
i miss friend making Mondays
i miss time out Thursdays
i miss wordless Wednesday
i miss fill in Fridays

I'm weird

I just thought I'd start this post off with that.
I'm weird. I get that. If you accept it. This post will make A LOT more sense.

So, i do this thing. where i talk to people in my head.

Not only that, but i give people names in my head. I don't know these people, but i do it because... well I'm not really sure i know why. i just do.

when i used to work at the hospital and take the public transportation i used to do it ALL.THE.TIME! (Exhibit A & Exhibit B).

well, now i do this at the gym.

there are people that are nice like the 'early morning swingers couple' (who are all to friendly and to much energy for 5am), there's the Mrs.intense (she says nothing, she never looks around she's focused), then there's Mr.McFlirtyEyes (I've never talked to him, but you can tell). ya. i know I'm weird. we've established this.

so this happened in my head today (no this is not an actual interaction)

me: ::walks to shower::

overly exposed lady (walks around with a towel around her waste and a granny bra): ::looks at my feet:: i don't know how you can shower with out appropriate shower shoes

me: meh

O.E. Lady: its just gross

me: i figure if i can survive showers in Iraq, then I'm pretty safe in the showers at X gym.

O.E. Lady: ::shakes her head::

-end scene-

ya i don't know why i do this. I may very well be crazy. but at least its all happening in my head.
---------------------------------------------------
but here's why i post this.

I was talking to my boss today about water. (these are actual events)

her: aren't you proud I'm looking for my water

me: why don't you just fill your bottle at your desk

her: i have a new bottle in my car with 'home' water

me: ::give side eye:: are you a closet water snob
(fyi we have a water fountain in the back of the plant)

her: uh.... i just don't trust that water

me: ::chuckles:: hey, i figured if i could use the water in Iraq to shower and brush my teeth and be fine, than that water is safe too.

her: ::cracks up laughing:: now THAT is funny

me: ::ponders the conversation in my head at the gym::

WEIRD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

have a happy Wednesday!

Tonights Dinner

Potato Chowder

Quick Corn and Potato Chowder

2 cups water
2 cups milk
2 medium yellow/white/red potatoes (skin on- chopped)
1 can corn- drained (yes, CANNED CORN! ZOMG!)
1 chicken boullion cube
sea salt, black pepper, basil, onion powder, celery salt, smoked paprika
corn starch & water (it's better to mix the corn starch in water first & then use it to thicken)

(we also added real bacon bits and obviously didn't add the corn)

In a medium saucepan: add the water & boullion cube- cover & cook the potatoes until tender (about 15 min or so)
turn the heat down to medium low & add the corn & milk (don't drain the potatoes because the starchy water will add flavor & thickness)- mix & then add seasonings to taste (not too much, no need to overwhelm, but make sure to use plenty of salt & pepper)

Allow the chowder to simmer for about 5-10 min- while it simmers, add the corn starch (to desired thickness)
Remove from heat & ladel into bowls- NOM NOM!!!

p.s. you can top with cheese or bacon or whatever you want- i just keep it simple :) [We added cheese to the top)

Cheddar Biscuits
Biquick Mix
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Follow the directions on the Bisquick box- add the cheese into the mix & plop them on a greased baking sheet (usually not greased but cheese requires grease people!)
Bake for about 10 min- butter & eat! YUM!

OMG! TO.DIE.FOR!!! I would eat my weight in these and then marry them if i could.

Thank you T.Bird. If you weren't already married and a mom i'd as you to marry me and be the mother of my children

My New Blog

So I take some pride in being a pretty good present giver. I take time and careful thought into each and every gift and every wrapping and every box. So I decided to make a blog about it.

I love to send gifts
I love to see people’s faces
It’s a sickness really.

Ask my husband... he'll tell you.
I'm in need of a serious 12 step program to quit buying presents. But if I blog about all my ideas and share them... maybe... just maybe it'll help. Pshh yah right!

Sooo I debut: ROTTY SHOPS

Somethings to think about...

I got this email today... i just had to share it

Somethings to think about:
* Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

* There is a great need for a sarcasm font.

* How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

* I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

* The only time I look forward to a red light is when Im trying to finish a text.

* Was learning cursive really necessary?

* I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

* MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

* Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

* Bad decisions make good stories

* You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you've made up your mind that you just aren't doing anything productive for the rest of the day.

* I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.

* I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Darnit!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

* As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists.

* Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

* I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call..

* I think that if, years down the road when Im trying to have a kid, I find out that I'm sterile, most of my disappointment will stem from the fact that I was not aware of my condition in college.

* Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet my a$$ everyone can find and push the Snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time every time...

* My 4-year old son asked me in the car the other day "Dad what would happen if you ran over a ninja?" How the hell do I respond to that?

* I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

* I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lites than Kay.

That one of my old friends is friends with my ex... Again. She had introduced me to said ex. they were friends before we became friends

Me and said ex had a very passionate and volatile relationship.

This ex royally fucked up both my relationship with brain and her relationship with her husband.

It fucked up her relationship so bad that they called off their engagement and broke up for several months.

I don't talk to her much anymore. But I got bored and looked her up on face book. And there he was.

.... Why does this bug me so much?

It makes my decision to cut ties with her more solid. I’ve been wishy washy about it for a while.

Me and brain got drunk one day and he told me he didn't like her because she had a part in the bad period in our relationship in the beginning.

And I understood that so I didn't ask him to do 'couple' things anymore with them. And just slowly we grew apart.

Now this.

I feel betrayed.
But I don't think I have a right to feel that way.

stupid facebook.
i was perfectly okay thinking he no longer existed.

Its the simple things

There are often moments, and sometimes they’re so simple, that just make you think how lucky you are.

Last night after a hard day's work I came home, feeling kind of frustrated. When I walked in the door B stopped his game, got up, and looked so excited that I was home. He walked into the living room and gave me a big old hug and a kiss. I was shocked and my mood was totally switched

It’s the little things like this that make me so lucky to have him.
He makes me so incredibly happy and he doesn't even do it on purpose

My mother may ruin my marriage

So as I stated in my last post, I've been going through quite a bit.

I went on vacation (sun-tues) to Vegas with my family: me, B, mom, dad, broha, & g-ma.
If we ever spend that much time with my family again, I’ll be going alone. There is NO way my marriage could withstand something like that again.

-She always has something negative to say

-She always has something to be upset about

And the woman who's been separated 2x and had paperwork pending on divorce tries to give me advice. No thanks ma.

I like my mother, don't get me wrong. But there is so much I hate about her its not even funny.

I can't stand the way she treats my husband.
I hate the way she treats me.
I hate the way she always has something 'to say'.

I’m just done.

I think after the holidays we're going to go on a family break.
None of his family - unless its his dad (he's the only one on our good side).
None of my family - period.

If we don't take a step away from them we're doomed.
There is so much stress going on in our lives

I just don't know what to do.

::smacks hands:: BAD BLOGGER!

I've been a bad bad blogger.
but here are my excuses
1) i've been dealing with a lot of personal problems. Ones i need to get off my chest but can't ever get more than a few seconds of alone time to do so.
2) we went on vacation. to sum it up in 2 words: beautiful disaster or Never Again.
3) i've been a busy busy beaver.
4) i'm just so tired.

i promise i will post more, but at the moment i need to make my coffee, check my email, and scoot off to work for the first time since last thursday.

Wine Help

So I've become a little burnt out on beers and am slowly craving wine more and more.

Please help a wine virgin out.
Recommend your favorite wines (with links if possible so i can see).

Tonight i got 3 bottles from local wineries
I got 2 from Honeywood Wines

And then i got 1 bottle from Bridgeview Wines I have seen these a couple times before, i figure its a good place to start.

what are your suggestions?

I have found that I'm a bigger fan of red wines than white. but I'm willing to try anything.
